1. Teen Wolf dir. by Rod Daniel (1985)
It’s got a werewolf in it, so it’s definitely a Halloween film. I was late to the game with this one. I watched Teen Wolf for the first time earlier this month. Confusion struck immediately when no explanation for Scott Howard’s accursed werewolf endemic presented itself, but I quickly got over that when Papa Howard simply explained, “We’re werewolves.” Good enough for me.
Werewolves, for the most part, are already pretty cool. I’ll pass on the Twilight and 2010 Wolfman lycanthrope, but the random-hallway-breakdance-fighting, limited-edition-merchandise-inspiring, drunk-driving, roof-top-surfing ones just make sense to me.
