2. Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter dir. by Joseph Zito (1984)
The Final Chapter is the fourth edition of the Friday the 13th franchise, and arguably the best. As it turns out, the cranial axe-wound that Mr. Voorhees received in Part III, of which we assumed sent the man-beast to hell, was little more than a flesh wound. Jason’s back again to screw up a camping trip turned sex romp for some lusty teens.
Speaking of teens (and children), let’s just point out right off the bat that both Crispin Glover and Corey Feldman are in this film. Glover plays the character you’d expect - weird, introverted but downright irresistible to the lady-folk. Feldman plays child prodigy Tommy, an expert craftsman of rubber masks and horror sfx.
Part 4 has some of my favorite kills of the series, along with some of the best laughs. But honestly, Glover and Feldman? Why wouldn’t you watch this movie?
