6. Puppet Master II dir. by Dave Allen (1991)
Puppet Master II starts with all of the puppets from the first film digging up the body of Andre Toulon and resurrecting the long dead Puppet Master.
Months later, paranormal investigators hired by the federal government set up shop in Toulon’s hotel, hoping to discover what happened to the deceased in the first Puppet Master film. During their investigation, they meet the supposed owner of the hotel Eriquee Chaneé, who just so happens to be Andre Toulon, wrapped head to toe in bandages to hide his decaying corpse.
Toulon introduces a new puppet to the collection, Torch, a flame-throwering favorite of the series. The plot thickens as Toulon sends his minions out to gather the brains and innards of the parapsychologists so that he may once again take on a proper human form. Or something like that.
Puppet Master II is a bit more light-hearted than the first, and my favorite of the series.
